7 Dachshunds Lined Up for Dinner Show Off the Most Exceptional Manners

They are so patient.

Having a big family comes with its own set of challenges. Something like ensuring everyone eats simultaneously can feel like a daunting task. This is even true for big families of dogs.

These dachshunds are more polite than some people. See just how well-mannered they are in a video shared on November 18:

This is impressive! TikTok user @nicjones341 must have spent a good amount of time teaching her dogs how to behave like proper ladies and gentlemen.

They are all lined up behind their bowls of food sitting so nicely. They wait patiently for her to give the command and the minute she does, they dig in. What a good job!

The effort put into training pays off in situations like this. Instead of having dinner time chaos, she has seven well-behaved pups who are not fighting each other for food. When you have this many mouths to feed, it isn’t an option.

She had the audience wondering how she attained this tremendous success. One viewer inquired, “Omg! So cute. How do you train them? I’ve got three and they never listen.” This mom replied, "Definitely perseverance." That’s for sure.

It takes time and patience to achieve this kind of achievement. She likely began by training each dog individually. This helps to ensure that each dog has a solid understanding of basic obedience commands such as “sit,” “stay,” and “wait.” These commands will be crucial for proper behavior.

A mealtime routine is also important. Ensuring each dog has the same bowl and spot. Consistency is crucial when training multiple dogs, and all family members or caregivers should follow the same rules and commands to avoid confusion.

It’s also important to teach each dog to have a specific release command that signals it is time to eat. Much like the sound she used here.

Always remember to celebrate the small successes when training one or multiple dogs. Just like us, they like to hear when they are doing a good job.
