Precious Beagle Howls with Glee Upon Seeing Dad's Car Arrive at Day Care

Paisley knows she's going home!

There's no better welcoming committee than that from a dog happy to see you. They'll shake, jump, and wag their way right into your heart. Such was the case when one "pawrent" went to pick up his Beagle pup from doggy day care. Her reaction is just priceless!

In a June 11, 2024 video, TikTok user paisleypark28Beagle shared the moment little Paisley cheered and roared as her Dad came to take her home. Check out the heartwarming video and try not to swoon!

The video begins by showing Paisley patiently waiting in the daycare play yard for one of her parents to arrive. Within a few seconds, she spots her dad's car pulling in to rescue her and she can't contain her excitement.

With her tail excitedly wagging, Paisley hops and dances around awoo-ing and howling to tell the world her dad has arrived. Once the daycare employee opens the door inside and sets a wiggly Paisley free, she rushes to her Dad, still shouting about how much she loves him.

"We don't deserve dogs," the end of the video is captioned, and many viewers agree. "My dog is my world. What would we do without them?" one person wrote. Another seconded the sentiment saying, "Nothing puts a smile on your face then having ur dogs greet u when walk in the door. The joy they make you feel."

Why Do Beagles Howl?

Beagles are widely known for their vocal exercises and according to Wag, there are three distinct vocalizations they utilize, depending on the situation. There's a standard bark, "where lets you know such things as someone is at the door, he needs to go out, or he is excited about a new toy or treat," the blog says. This is the most common, though the tone and frequency differ from dog to dog.

The second is known as the "hunting howl," which resembles a "deep yodel." They have this sound instinctually to alert others they've picked up a scent or found something in distress. They don't have to be hunters to use this howl and it can begin as a bark and transition to a full howl.

The third sound is called baying, which is known as a mix between a howl and a bark. This is commonly heard when they're sad, "singing" along with a song, or excited. Paisley has mastered the art of this one and wants her dad to know it!

There's a reason Beagles are among the smartest dog breeds and they're not afraid to show it. Whatever sound they make, it's nothing compared to the happy howls they carry on from seeing the people they love most.
