Bernese Mountain Dog's Sweet Attempt to Get Mom to Stop Working Brings All the Feels

If it were up to my dog, I would never be doing anything that distracted me from giving her my full attention during her waking hours. Instead, I would be at her beck and call any time she is conscious, here to hand out pets, give her treats, and take her on walks and hikes all day, every day. This includes the hours I work from home, of course — hours when she would really prefer I'd stay in bed, especially first thing in the morning. Sorry, pup. I'd rather be cuddling, too, but somebody's gotta pay the bills! 

The sweet Bernese Mountain Dog in the TikTok video below appears to be on the same wavelength as my dog, and he is not backing down. His mom is working, but if he gets his way, not for much longer. 

This video comes to us from @__nikosworld, the dog mom who shared this adorable footage on TikTok on Monday, October 21. While she's at the computer, trying to get some work done, her Bernese Mountain Dog named Niko has a different plan in mind. 

When she tries to move her arm to start typing again, Niko is there, pulling her away. His main goal is making sure he gets between her and the computer, no excuses. This poor guy just wants 100% of mom's attention on him! 

After she reminds him that she's working, he gives her kisses as a last ditch effort to change her mind. With those puppy dog eyes he's flashing her, I'm surprised she didn't call it a day right then and there!

The good news: After seeing Niko's other videos with his mama, it's very clear that he does get plenty of her attention... just maybe not during all of her work hours.

And to be totally fair, it's not like he's being hung out to dry when she is working. The proof is right here in this video, where he is napping atop a silk pillowcase. This dog is living the life. 

Oh, and when he's hanging out with grandma? All bets are off. That dog appears to be getting human treats left and right, and he is not sorry. If only we all lived like Niko! 

It seems like Niko and his mom have such a sweet relationship, so maybe he should cut her a little slack while she's working. There's no doubt he'll always get plenty of quality time when she's done!
