Cane Corso Can't Resist Giving Mom 'Constant Slaps' & It's Too Sweet
When a dog wants your attention, they'll do the sweetest, strangest, or downright hilarious things to get it. Some beg, some cause a little mischief, and others, like Titus the Cane Corso, have perfected the art of tapping his mom's arm until she stops what she's doing and pays him attention, and it works every time.
Titus is just asking for a little—okay ALL—of Mom's attention. It's not too much to ask, is it? Watch as this sweetheart "slaps" for attention on repeat!
Between toddlers and dogs, it's hard to say which is more dramatic, but Titus is certainly vying for the title. His "constant slaps" are anything but intimidating and he's actual very gentle about it. As a pup who's a real charmer with those big, soulful eyes and the sweetest temperament, how could anyone say no to those little taps?
In past videos like this one, the Cane Corso can be seen doing what he does best: looking adorable in hopes of getting a little attention, and like I said—it works every time! He didn't get the name @titusthegentlegiant for nothing.
The brief 16-second clip has more than 11,000 likes and it's really resonating with pet parents everywhere.
"We got a Tibetan mastiff that paws the backs of our knees when we walk by him. Struggle is real," one person shared in solidarity.
"My Pibble knocked me over then proceeded to do 360s on my stomach. He’s 115 pounds it wasn’t fun," another added.
"I got slapped out my sleep this morning. Gotta love Corsos," another wrote.
It looks like it's not just a Titus thing, but a thing for dogs who neeeed attention STAT!
Cane Corsi Are a Gentle, Loyal Breed
Despite their size, pups like Titus make the best companions. PetMD notes that though Cane Corsos can weigh upwards of more than 100 pounds and stand 28 inches tall, their size doesn't dictate their temperament.
Known as a watchdog or guardian dog for being so loyal to their people, a Corso is eager to please, intelligent, and they have an "unwavering" devotion with a duty to protect. Even as big as they are, this is a dog that will love and guard children fiercely, but be sweet and affectionate at the same time.
This is a breed that should have an experienced pet parent to better handle their size. As long as they're properly socialized and have training in the bag, this working dog breed will be the best friend you could ever have. They excel at agility and dock diving, but may not care much about the typical dog toy. They're simply too fabulous for that. Besides, if you have a Cane Corso like Titus, all they need, and want is you, and that is a beautiful thing.
