Can we retire here? What a wonderful life these dedicated volunteers have provided for these cats. She tells us they take in kitties with complex health conditions. They also rescue animals whose owners may have passed away or entered a retirement home where they cannot bring their pets. This brings peace of mind to these loving owners, who can no longer care for their beloved friends.

Moggie’s retirement village is part of the Shropshire cat rescue and it’s located in Shrewsbury, UK. It includes six cottages, with an extra-large one known as Moggie’s mansion in the middle. The kitties have access to plenty of warm beds, cat trees, and toys in each fully furnished cottage. She reports that all the residents are free to roam the community and socialize with their feline friends. A staff of devoted volunteers constantly pampers and cares for them. They monitor them regularly and give these fortunate felines any healthcare they may need. Once a month, local schoolchildren even come to read books to them. How sweet is that? This must truly bring peace to owners without family or friends to care for their pets.
