Cat's Clever Way of Waking Up His Parents Is Funny Yet Savage

He's a resourceful kitty!

Cats are different than other animals because they don’t care what anyone else thinks. You can’t make them do something they don’t want, and they’re not shy about telling anyone what they need to do. Including this cat who has a clever way to get his parents do wake up.

On August 4, TikTok user KING Draco (@draco__cat) shared a video of the smart tactic their cat has mastered to get them out of bed in the morning to get breakfast going. Take a look!

“I found a new way to get my humans to feed me,” the 55-second video begins in a voice over. In the video we see King Draco who looks to be standing on someone lying in bed. Silly Draco is trying to wake up his humans two hours before breakfast time.

And he’s mastered a new tactic, that’s hilarious but pretty savage.

“In the past, I'd wipe their faces or give in massages to wake them up,” the video voiceover continued. “But they're immune to it now. So, I have to be creative coming up with a new strategy.”

And when this cat said he was going to get creative, that’s exactly what he did.

“Lucky for me, my humans have projector in their room because they're lazy homebodies, so I found a way to turn it on,” the voiceover continued.

Adding, “The bright light would wake them up immediately. As soon as I realize they're awake, I get off the projector and stare into their souls until they physically get off the bed.”

His tactic worked, and viewers took to the comments to discuss what they had just watched and shared the unique ways their cats wake them up.

"My cat knows how to turn off my sleep apnea machine," one viewer shared.

"My cat jumps from the shelf on to my stomach," another wrote.

"My orange cat would knock stuff off of my headboard onto my head 🤦🏻‍♀️one time it was a full 32oz bottle of Gatorade," shared someone else.

"My cat learned how to turn on the Roomba in the middle of the night," added another viewer.

According to Preventive Vet, cats are most active at dusk and dawn which is why they're so insistent at waking us up so early. But you're not destined to horrible wakeup calls every morning.

They suggest several tactics humans can take to discourage their feline from waking them up early including ignoring your cat, try an automatic feeder, tire your cat out during the day, and keeping your cat's sleeping area comfortable.
