Woman Finds Random Chicken Floating in Her Pool Like a Total Boss
If you own a swimming pool, you sometimes find unexpected visitors taking a dip. Depending on where you live, these uninvited guests can be large and terrifying as alligators or bears, or they can be as tiny as frogs or mice. Chickens, however, are not a sight we are used to seeing.
This hen knows what’s good! Check out the sight from the backyard of TikTok user @mrs. strange50.
This bird is only doing what the rest of us wish we could. The weather’s been hot, and she’s taking a dip. Apparently, this chicken doesn’t even belong to the owner of the pool. Ha! It’s just some random hen that had found its way into the cool blue water. Maybe it just needed a vacation like the rest of us. We imagine coexisting with a rooster can be exhausting. Also, this chicken is actually very lucky to be alive. In the comments, she tells us the chickens can’t swim and can easily drown. Thankfully, she saw it before it took on any more water. Much like cats, maybe chickens have nine lives too.
She could not record the rescue because she was alone at home, as she explained in another video. But her hilarious description of the events had us laughing. She reports she could not use a net to rescue it, and instead, had to grab it with her hands, which did not please the animal. She tells us she needed to shower after the rescue because the wet chicken was flapping its feathers and water everywhere. To make matters worse, her cat was also around. Unable to fly, the soaked chicken ran for its life. She assures us both the chicken and the cat are doing just fine. We hope the neighbor who owned this feisty hen poured this kind lady a big glass of wine for her efforts.
People's responses were as funny as this situation. One responded, "Looks to me like a little bit of foul play." That it does. Another said, "It’s been a really hot summer. She decided not to be a friend chicken!" Good point and luckily she wasn’t a boiled one either.
We did not know that chickens couldn’t swim. It’s just one more thing we learned on TikTok that we didn’t learn in school.
