Costco Is Selling New '2-in-1' Dog Beds and Everyone Wants Them
If you're anything like the rest of us crazy dog parents, you're always on the lookout for a new dog bed. They might seem like one of those things where only having one is good enough, but that couldn't be further from the truth. A dog bed loving dog almost always has more than one!
Costco is making that easy, now; they're selling two dog beds as a bundle! Like everything else in the store, they're big, and even better, they're affordable. On Thursday, May 16th, someone showed them off:
Since a Costco opened up pretty close to me, I go pretty often. I get sucked in at two sections: the frozen foods and the pet care. Now that Costco Buys pointed this out, I might have to invest in another bed for my girl...
Costco almost always has some kind of a dog bed available, and they're usually pretty big and pretty fluffy. They have other brands' beds sometimes, but they also make some with their own brand, Kirkland Signature. I actually bought a Kirkland dog bed for my dad's office, and it's frequently visited by all three dogs in the house!
This deal comes with two beds: one traditional dog bed and one pad. The pad is thick, soft, and exactly the same colors as the other bed, which would be good if you were going for aesthetics. Because it's more of a pad/pillow style bed, it's perfect for sticking in your car, in the crate, or bringing with you on trips. I don't camp, but I feel like this pad would be great for setting up in a tent next to your sleeping bag! If you're interested in these dog beds, Costco Buys says they're $39.99!
How to Tell if a Dog Bed is Good
It's actually harder than you might think to find a genuinely good dog bed. While having more than one is certainly fun, it's not as fun to have to replace beds that keep getting worn out after just months of use. Dogs are rough on beds; they dig in them, they might tug at the cover with their teeth, and they may even lie in them while they're dirty.
A good dog bed is usually:
- Made of a thick cover.
- Equipped with an extra layer between the cover and the stuffing to make it harder to get to.
- Stuffed with a mix of memory foam and poly-fiber to keep it from going flat.
- Washable.
- Bonus points if it's waterproof!
You can go all out and spend absurd amounts of money on a dog bed, of course; you can get ones from legitimate mattress brands that are basically a mini-version of an actual mattress. However, as much as we love our pups, they are dogs, and they don't need all of that. You don't have to spend an arm and a leg for a good one. Places like HomeGoods and Costco have perfectly suitable options!
