If you’re a pet parent, you likely share almost everything with your furry companion. I gladly share my bed, the couch, snacks, and even a seat in the car. However, if there’s one thing some humans draw the line at, it’s sharing drinks.
But try telling that to this Coton de Tulear. Watch her reaction after getting caught sneaking a sip of bedside water in this hilarious TikTok video from @coton_kiwi:
With her fluffy white fur and tiny black socks on her paws, this little lady clearly thinks everything in the house belongs to her, including the glass of water on the nightstand. And to be fair, she looks very confident in her choice. That is, until she gets caught.
Her face says it all: part “Oh no,” and part “Wait, that wasn’t for me?” And to make it even harder to be mad, her sweet, apologetic expression is priceless. The actual crime here might just be how cute she is.
People quickly took Kiwi’s side. Viewer @hazelthecitydog joked, “I wonder if she knew she was sharing her water with you.” Ha! Good point.
Another joked, “If Kiwi can reach it, it’s her property.” That seems to be her philosophy.
And @Anti shared, “One morning, I woke up with my cat’s paw absolutely submerged in my water glass and spreading her little toe beans out. I immediately bought a water bottle.” Toe beans might be where I draw the line, too.
Coton de Tulears are known for being affectionate, clever, and a tad mischievous. As the AKC describes, they’re playful, loyal, and happiest when they’re right by your side, even if that means sampling your nightstand water like it’s a glass of fine wine.

So next time your glass mysteriously empties faster than usual, don’t look at the dog… unless, of course, she’s staring back with the world’s cutest guilty face and water on her whiskers.
