Doberman's Gentle Way of Giving Baby Affection Has Pet Parents So Touched

When it comes to dogs who cut an imposing figure, Dobermans are a breed who are probably pretty close to the top of the list. To the untrained eye, they may look like scary dogs, but if you've had the pleasure of getting to know one personally, you already know they can be big softies inside. Like any dog, the proper socialization and training truly does go a long way. Dobermans can make excellent family dogs, and the TikTok video below truly proves it. 

Adding a baby to the family can be a big adjustment for dogs, of course, but in the case of the pup we see here? Well, I'm pretty sure he was made to be a big brother. 

This sweet video was shared by dog and human mom @jessbader3, who gave us a peek into the precious relationship between her Doberman pup and her baby girl. 

The little one is hanging out in her play center when her big bro comes into the room and immediately goes to check on her. She reaches for him so sweetly, and he is so gentle with her, even when she pulls his face close to give him kisses. 

People in the comments can't help but gush over how cute these two are together. One person wrote, "Something tells me nobody is gonna mess with that little one." So true — she's got a built in bodyguard for sure! 

Others shared their own similar experiences with the Dobermans they've grown up with themselves. 

"We had a Dobie from when I was a baby until I was 7. He protected me and we were besties. Thanks for triggering my memory of him," another commenter wrote. 

This Doberman & His Baby Are Soulmates

Just from the other videos that this mom has shared on her TikTok feed, it's easy to see that it was love at first sight for these sweet siblings.

In one video, she shared clips of her baby and dog together from the time that her little girl was a newborn, and it seems like if the pup needed any adjustment time when baby joined the family, it wasn't very long. From even before the time she could hold her own head up, this dog seemed right at home as his baby's full time protector.  

I hope this mom keeps sharing updates on these two, because it's going to be so much fun to see this little one grow up with her dog by her side. They are already inseparable!
