French Bulldogs' Loud Morning 'Serenade' Is Enough to Wake the Neighbors

They certainly have a lot to say.

Dogs might not be able to communicate in human languages, but boy, do they figure out ways to get their point across anyway. Whether they're barking, delivering a healthy dose of side eye, or even crying and howling, most dogs have absolutely zero problem letting us know when they want something or are unhappy with their current situation... or when they are happy. And in the case of the dogs in this TikTok video, there might be a little singing involved.

Certain dog breeds are known for being chattier than others, but these two are really taking it over the top. If only we could all be so lucky to hear this kind of serenade every day!

In this video recently shared by Heather McMahan, we can see her two French Bulldogs — whose names are adorably Macaroni and Rigatoni — laying on the bed in the morning, singing their little hearts out. Who knew two dogs could be this loud?!

Still, it seems like a very happy noise to behold, and by the time they're done singing, their mom showers them with all of the praise for a job well done that they deserve.

They also got plenty of compliments on their harmony in the comments — including from other people's dogs. One commenter wrote, "Not my dog going absolutely feral listening to this."

Apparently, they've always been doing this. As their mom joked in a comment, "Legit Rigatoni was howling from the day he came out my womb and Macaroni has learned from him."

Do All French Bulldogs Sing?

It's hard to generalize across an entire breed of dogs, since individual pups can be so different. But typically, French Bulldogs are a bit more vocal than other dogs out there, using a variety of vocalizations to share their feelings.

However, not all French Bulldogs will serenade their people the way that Macaroni and Rigatoni are doing. They might be one of the breeds more likely to make noises like this, but it's not a guarantee!

Interestingly enough, as the American Kennel Club (AKC) points out, French Bulldogs aren't really barkers, so other than their whines and grunts (and sometimes singing howls) you may be surprised at just how quiet they are, especially at times when other dogs might be barking their tails off.

If you're looking for a dog with a big personality, a French Bulldog might be the right choice for you. They're eager to please, they're smart, and they love being around people, and there's a good chance that they will always keep you laughing.
