German Shepherd Mix’s ‘Threatening’ Way of Asking to Go Outside Wins the Internet

When it’s a dog’s potty time, they’ll go to any lengths to let you know before there’s an accident. It’s a good thing they’re communicating and shows how well you’ve trained them, whether they whine at the door or sit in front of you until you’ve received their telepathic plea.

Then there are some comical pups who have a more direct approach.

Leo the German Shepherd mix has a particular way of asking to go outside and it’s the most unhinged, dramatic thing I’ve ever seen (and I’m 100% here for it)!

The smart, demanding boy is trying his hand at method acting and it’s an award-winning performance. By pretending to go to the bathroom by the door as a way of threatening the family “Don’t tempt me—I’ll do it” is beyond genius.

I mean seriously—what is going on in the Shepherd’s head? He’s diabolical, and I’m in love with him.

We trained our Corgi to ring a bell tied to the door when she was little and it’s served us well, but if she did what Leo does, I’d be way more impressed because it shows analytical skills firing off at the highest level.

This theatrical pup is fairly new to his Mom’s TikTok page, but he’s such a freakin’ star, people are obsessed.

Thousands took to the comments to comment on Leo’s “own sign language” and his successful “fear training,” proving dogs are a whole lot smarter than we give them credit for.

“Lmao he def tried it once and someone jumped up to let him out. He is brilliant, and I am so happy he doesn’t have thumbs or he’d rule us all,” one person wrote.

“Bro, the face he makes while maintaining eye contact is frying me,” another shared.

Hundreds more confessed “the stomping of the back foot is a threat,” and we should all bow down to this king.

I wish there was more Leo content to share, but the funny pup’s only follow-up is this picture showing his devious grin. You can tell by his face he’s proud of his shenanigans and 10/10 will do it again. Respect.

If the Shepherd mix keeps this up, he’ll find himself in a Hollywood casting agent’s office because with this kind of epic performance, he’s well on his way to the big screen.
