Golden Retriever's Annoyed Face Over Sibling Wanting to Play Is the Best

She isn't into it!

A Golden Retriever, the eldest sibling, has the best annoyed face when her younger sibling insists on playing even though she doesn't want to.

On May 21, 2024, TikTok user Squan Goldens (@ntiger) shared a video of their two beautiful Golden Retrievers and their funny sibling bond. Take a look!

In a hilarious 7-second video clip, we meet two Golden Retriever siblings with very different personalities.

In the clip, the two Golden Retrievers are sitting on the couch, and you can tell right away that one of the pups isn't playing around and the other one really is.

The oldest, a sweet 4-year-old Golden named Sailor, sits on the couch. Next to her is her younger brother, a 15-month-old toddler Golden named Buoy, who is half sitting and half lying on the couch.

Once the video gets closer, it's clear that Buoy is trying to get Sailor to play.

He's got her arm in his mouth as if he were doing a gentle "come on, let's go" arm tug.

Sailor is very clear that she is not having it. She does not want to go do whatever Bouy wants her to do, she does not want to have her paw in his mouth, and she does not want to deal with this right now.

But through it all, she sits there and takes it. She tries to show that she's unhappy, and her face looks terrifying as she makes low growls and shows full teeth. But it's really cute how the little one is trying to get the attention of the older one.

"Patient, big sis," the caption reads. The video is extra hilarious because the song "You're My Best Friend" from Queen is playing.

In the comments, people had to share about the two dogs and how different their personalities look.

"The scrunch face are the best haha," one person wrote.

"Golden snoot scrunches are the most adorable attempt at aggression," someone else shared.

"I love the Golden Cujo face," wrote another.

"I'm convinced Goldens are the best ever," shared someone else.

How to Tell If Your Dog Is Just Playing

There is a lot we can tell about dogs by looking at them, but sometimes it can be challenging to decipher between when two dogs are playing together or when two dogs are fighting. With that, it can be challenging to know when it's important to step in.

According to the American Kennel Club, there are some signs that their behavior is all in good fun.

The first sign is what the experts call the "play bow." This means the pup is "front end down, back end in the air," the American Kennel Club explains. "Sometimes the dog trying to initiate play will slap his front legs down on the ground repeatedly."

Other signs include a "big, silly open-mouthed grin," or when they're acting silly, and fall down or get caught on purpose.

You can tell when dogs are not playing and are fighting when their bodies are really stiff; their mouths will show a "curled lip" along with a "low warning growl." These dogs won't be bouncy, and it looks like one dog is really trying to get away.
