Golden Retriever 'Learns to Play Piano' Like a Regular Beethoven
Dogs are talented at all kinds of things: playing fetch, being our best and most loyal friends, and of course, putting on those puppy dog eyes that we can never say no to. The list goes on and on! And depending on the breed, some are working dogs with incredibly useful skills, like the medical help that service dogs can provide their humans, and the farm dogs who help protect the animals who live with them. If only we were all as good at everything as our favorite dogs are!
But I can't say I've ever seen a dog play piano until this very moment.. and I will admit that it's pretty impressive (and also very adorable).
In this video shared by @aguyandagolden on Thursday, May 9, we can see this Golden Retriever heading out to his piano lessons. First, he was lounging on the couch under a blanket when his dad told him it was time to leave, and they drove over to his piano lessons together.
He didn't need the lessons, though, because he turned out to be a total pro. Even more important than that, though, is the fact that his dad managed to film this skit and make it look totally real.
(What am I talking about? It is totally real. This dog actually is playing the piano. It is not a skit).
Of course, commenters went crazy over this. One person wrote, "Wow Teddy is a fast learner. When will Teddy be going on tour???"
I have the same question!
More About a Guy and a Golden
After watching this video, it's easy to see why their account has well over eight million followers — this is quality entertainment.
There's basically nothing he can't do, and he's run through quite the gamut of different careers in the time that he's been showing off his stuff on TikTok (he's kind of like Barbie that way). There was this time that he was an electrician, too, just to show how much range this dog has.
The pup, whose name is Teddy, and his dad, Jonathan Lower, live in North Carolina, and it seems like they're not going anywhere anytime soon, according to what Lower told Fox.
“I have a notebook at home with about 500 to 600 video ideas,” he said. "A lot of them are ambitious and they might take a little bit of time to come to fruition but we think of a lot of short hitting ones and easy ones that we can do now and we knock those out.”
I can't wait to see when this dog releases his tour dates. You know it's going to be a show so cute it sells out right away!
