Golden Retriever Puppy Brings Stuffed Toy to the Window So They Can 'Look Out Together'
A sweet little Golden Retriever puppy brought his stuffed toy to the window so the two of them could enjoy the view outside together.
On April 13, 2024, TikTok user Duke the Golden Boy (@thegoldenpupduke) shared a video of Duke, the puppy, and his best friend, Lammy. Take a look!
In a quick 12-second video, we see just enough of Duke's personality and love for his toy that we've fallen completely in love.
In the video, we meet Duke, who is holding on to his Lammy, a stuffy lamb who means a whole lot to the sweet puppy.
"When he brings his lamb chip up so he can see out the window too," the text on the screen reads, setting up what we'll see in this adorable video.
And it's exactly that. Duke picks up the stuffy in his mouth and takes him up to the window sill so the two of them can look out the window.
And, of course, it's all set to the song "Stuff We Did (from Up'), and it's hard not to see this as emotional. The little dog has so much fun looking out the window and wants to share it with his best friend.
"Lammy, his real bestie," the video's caption reads.
In the comments, people were happy to share how moved they were by this sweet video.
"Literally every dog loves this lamb chop!" one person wrote.
"My fur baby Maltipoo does the same with his owl," another viewer added.
Another commenter wrote: "I wish I was his mailman.... treats for him and Lammy."
Someone else added: "What is it about the lamb chop! The least destroyed & most loved stuffed animal!!" someone else questioned."
"I can't even take it," someone else admitted.
What Are the Best Toys for Golden Retrievers?
Golden Retrievers are known for being very playful breeds, and having toys around for them to play with will keep everyone happy.
"All dogs need mental stimulation. In order to stimulate their minds and prevent them from getting bored and exhibiting destructive behaviors, it is important to offer your Golden some thought-provoking toys to keep them sharp and entertained," Outward Hound reports.
The site suggests several different types of toys for dogs. Ones that they can use their brain for are great options, including an interactive puzzle they have to solve to get a treat.
They also suggest getting toys, such as tennis balls and ring hoops, that can help them practice their athletic skills and agility.
If you have a Golden Retriever at home who, like Duke, loves to cuddle, that's pretty common for this breed, too.
According to Ped-educate, one study has found that Golden Retrievers love to cuddle, and having someone affectionate with them can really satisfy that urge. With that in mind, having a stuffed animal like Lammy can really bring joy and enrichment into their lives.
We're excited to watch Duke and his Lammy grow!
