Huskies' Real-Life Version of 'Mario Kart' Is About to Break the Internet

What a riot!

With Mario Kart's initial release being in the early '90s, if you're in your 30s or 40s, there's a very good chance that you have many fond memories playing the game from your childhood... or, you know, memories of getting in fights with your cousins on a holiday when the game didn't go quite the way you hoped. There's something about the Nintendo game that always brings out some serious nostalgia and warm fuzzy feelings in me, and that's only more true when people get adorable dogs involved.

What am I talking about? Oh, just the masterpiece of a TikTok video below. These Huskies got to participate in their own, real-life version of Mario-Kart, and in my eyes, they are all winners.

On Monday, October 7, @2husketeers shared the video that is well on its way to breaking the internet, with more than 95,000 likes already. Set to the iconic Mario Kart racing soundtrack, the three Husky pups featured even look the part. They're each wearing a cardboard recreation of Mario, Luigi, and Princess Peach's race karts, with balloons tied to the back in each corresponding color.

Once they're off, they run into obstacles from the game, like slipping on a banana peel (yeah, that'll get you every time) and that awful green shell. By the end, there's only one dog standing: Mario, who has two of his three balloons left. That's pretty impressive!

Unsurprisingly, commenters went wild over the video, but one person really summed it all up rather nicely when they wrote, "this is what the internet was made for." I couldn't agree more!

These Huskies Are Always Dressing Up

As you may have guessed by how tolerant they were of their cardboard karts, these dogs are actually old pros when it comes to wearing costumes, as their family has happily shared on TikTok many times before.

It's hard to choose the costumes I love most when they're being modeled by such cute Huskies, but with Halloween in the air, I will admit to being partial to the time they dressed up as the Sanderson Sisters from Hocus Pocus (the special effects in the video really up the ante here).

Or maybe it's their St. Patrick's Day ensembles from earlier this year, where they dressed as rainbows (making up a triple rainbow, of course) to coordinate with their mom and her leprechaun attire. She even had a pot of gold ready to go!

My fingers are crossed that there's more Mario Kart footage to come. I need to see them race again!
