Jennifer Garner Shares Her Cat Moose's Unfortunate Mishap for National Pet Day

What a riot!

Fans who follow Jennifer Garner on social media are probably already familiar with her pets... and the ways they get themselves into trouble sometimes. As a true animal lover, Jennifer is always posting videos of her furry friends, so it was totally unsurprising that when National Pet Day rolled around on April 11 that she was prepared with the perfect video to share with her Instagram followers — and this time, it was her cat, Moose, who was the star.

While cats are generally very good at keeping themselves clean, sometimes, they end up in scrapes that require a human to give them a little help with a bath... and when this happened to Moose, things went exactly how you probably think they would.

As Jen explains in the beginning of the video, Moose has unfortunately "pooped his pants" and it's gotten into his fur, so he needs a bath... and neither he nor his mom seem particularly optimistic about how it's going to go. Who said being a celebrity cat was always easy?!

It was absolutely a struggle, as bathing cats usually is; not only did Jen have to deal with the smell, but she also got scratched so badly on her neck that she was bleeding. That looked so painful!

Through it all, though, she stayed very calm for Moose's benefit, even singing to him while she shampooed him. That's a great cat mom right there.

In the end, the goal was achieved: Moose was clean, and everyone survived in one piece (though Jens' laundry room was basically flooded and she had a few new scratches).

Jennifer Always Shows Off Her Pets

This is not the first time that Jen has shared Moose's adventures on Instagram. There was another video where she showed off baby Moose compared to what he looks like now — boy, has this cat grown!

And of course, there's the most unforgettable moment: Halloween in 2022, when Moose dressed up as Dolly Parton (or Moosie Parton, as Jennifer called her) and her doggie brothers wore flannels and acted as her roadies. True pet costume perfection right here.

You probably also know Birdie if you follow Jennifer online — that's her Golden Retriever who is basically a star. Can we talk about how cute they are reading books together (with Moose crashing the video, not that I would ever expect anything less).

Jennifer's house — and farm — must be so much fun with all of these animals who each have such big personalities.
