Kevin Costner Reveals Labrador Puppy's Quirks and Perfect Name on Jimmy Fallon

If I get to choose who (and what species) I come back as in my next life, I am absolutely, without question, coming back as a dog who belongs to a celebrity family.  I can say with a relative amount of confidence that the most famous pups out there are the ones who are living some of the best lives — eating the highest quality foods, flying first class, and generally living better than most of us humans out here! Not that the dogs who belong to us regular folk still aren't very spoiled and very lucky, of course, but my budget is certainly a lot smaller.

It doesn't hurt that I also love when celebs share photos of their dogs so I can ooh and ahh over them, and that includes the newest member of Kevin Costner's family.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon this week, the Yellowstone star took a minute to brag about his adorable Labrador puppy, whose name is Bob. Yes, like a human. 

Oh, and he also showed off some pictures, too... including one of Bobby cuddled up on the open door of the dishwasher, sound asleep. There's no way that would actually be comfortable, but he looks pretty comfy to me!

"I was doing the dishes, which you've got to do as a single dad ... and I thought, 'where is he?'" Kevin explained. 

At first, he thought Bob was being "too quiet" which meant that he was off somewhere, getting into trouble as puppies do, and that's when he realized he was right beside him, asleep.

Oh, sweet Bob. How lucky is he to be Kevin Costner's dog? And, apparently, to have a really comfortable dishwasher to nap on. If that's what makes him happy! 

More About Bob the Labrador

Kevin first introduced Bob to his Instagram followers back in February, sharing a few photos of his new four-legged friend. 

"Newest addition to the family. I’m already in love with this special guy," he wrote at the time.

It seems like that love only grew over time, because just a few weeks later, he returned with an update that wasn't any less sweet, but didn't endear Bob to his dad any less! Even after he knocked over his coffee and spilled it all over the script Kevin was working on at the time, Kevin just rolled with it, writing, "Bobby update. We’re still working on his workplace etiquette." 

More recently, we got to see a photo of Bobby at work with his dad on the set of his movie Horizon: An American Saga, and that time, Kevin called him a "natural." 

Looks like this little guy is learning every day!
