Labrador Retriever Enjoying 'Last Boat Ride of the Season' Brings All the Feels
A beautiful Labrador Retriever enjoyed their "last boat ride of the season" and had everyone in their feelings.
On October 23, 2024, TikTok user Minnesota Bound Millie (@minnesotaboundmillie) shared a video of the sweet Labrador Retriever who loves being on the boat during the summer months. Take a look and be prepared for all the bittersweet feels!
It feels like we just had summer last week, but the end of autumn is creeping up on us. That means boats are stored away for the winter, but Millie and her family wanted to get one last ride this season.
In the clip, Millie is in the boat with her person, taking in the incredible view. The water is still, and in the distance is a landscape of autumn-colored trees with oranges, reds, and yellows that line her view, which is reflected in the water.
It looks incredibly peaceful and beautiful, so it's understandable that Millie really wanted to get one last ride in before she had to say goodbye for the summer. And why it's probably one of her favorite places to be when the weather is warm.
"One last boat ride for our Millie," the video's caption read. After reading the comments, it was clear that people felt for Millie and her love of being on the water.

Important Water Safety Reminders for Dog Parents
If you're planning to take your pup on the water, even if it's not until next spring or summer, there are some vital water safety reminders we should continually review.
According to MetVet, dogs "don't automatically know how to swim." This means it's important to "slowly introduce your pet to the water" and treat the safety importance like you would for a kiddo.
The site explains, "Be vigilant with your pets around water, just like you would a child. The most important pet water safety precaution is your watchful eye. And even dogs that like to swim should not be left unattended around water."
The experts suggest you invest in a quality life jacket for your pet and have your dog wear one when it's in a boat or near water.
"A life jacket should be form-fitting, just like for humans. You’ll want to measure around the base of their neck, around the widest part of their ribcage, and the length of the back (from the base of the tail to the neck)," MetVet explains.
"It should fit just below their neck, snuggly, but without restricting their breathing. You should be able to get two fingers between the vest and your pet."
They also suggest you look for a dog life jacket with handles on the top or sides to help you pull your dog out of the water more quickly if needed.
