Mom Gives American Bully the Funniest 'Pep Talk' to Psych Her Up for a Bath
Sometimes, we have to do scary things, and one dog mom knows that baths are hard for her American Bully, so she gave the funniest pep talk.
On June 11, 2024, TikTok user Xena (@exnablu) shared a video of Xena, an XL American Bully who was feeling a little stressed about having a bath. Take a look!
In a cute video we see Xena Blu sitting with her Mom. The two are having a very intense conversation, which we can see even before we play the video.
Xena is looking into her Mom's eyes, and mom is giving the sweet dog a pep talk about baths.
"Telling our dog where she will be so she doesn't come home and catch an attidute," the text on the video reads.
"Are you excited for your bath," Mom asks Xena.
"Yeah, bath tomorrow on your birthday," she continues. It sounds like mom plans to take Xena to the dog groomer the following day, and the groomer's name is As
"It's OK, bookie. We're not leaving you," the video's caption reads. It sounds like this sweet pup can experience some anxiety when she's taken to the groomer for a bath, worrying that her parents will not come back and will just leave her there.
Since tomorrow is her birthday, Mom wanted to make sure sweet Xena knew she was leaving, but only for a quick visit to Ashley, who will give her a bath, and then Mom and Dad will come back.
In the comments, people wrote about the cute video and Xena.
"The way she knows exactly what 'bath' is," one person giggled.
"My Pittie runs when I say bath," laughed another. "He's a big 80lb baby boy."
"Something about 'bath' doesn't sit right with my girl," someone else added.
"I groomed dogs for 15 years," someone else shared. "I loved these videos my clients would post. Some would run to the window looking for me."
Facts About the XL American Bully Breed
According to DogTime, the American Bully is a mix of the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier, with XL indicating the biggest size of this breed. The site says the bullies are known for their muscular appearance and short legs.
But they look more intimidating than their personality really is. "Despite their intimidating looks, they are friendly, sociable, and eager to please their owners," DogTime writes.
"They are also loyal and protective of their families, often making them excellent watchdogs. Proper socialization and training are essential to ensure they grow into well-behaved and well-adjusted dogs."
And, if they're anything like Xena, they take comfort in routine and love a good pep talk.
