Newfoundland’s Heartbreak Over Human Sister’s Sleepover Is Total Cuteness Overload
It's really hard to feel like you're missing out on something, and unfortunately, that's something that many dogs know all too well. After all, while it seems like there are more dog-friendly options when it comes to shopping, restaurants, and other public places these days, our four-legged friends can't go everywhere with us. And as hard as it is for us to say goodbye to them, even temporarily, it's got to be harder for them to be left behind, thinking that we're leaving them out of our adventure of the day on purpose!
If your dog happens to be a big FOMO pup (which stands for "fear of missing out") don't worry, because they aren't alone. The Newfoundland in this Instagram video knows exactly what that's like, and that means it was especially tough for him to let his sister go hang out with her friends without him!
The Instagram account @chewythenewfoundland shared this footage of a moment shared between her Newfoundland pup, Chewy, and her daughter as the teen was dropped off for a sleepover.
Though there's a good chance that Chewy doesn't know what a sleepover is, he did know that his sister was going somewhere and he wasn't allowed to join her, and boy, was in he in his feels about it.
He seemed okay on the car ride over, but as soon as he realized that his sis was getting out of the car and taking all of her stuff with her, he was immediately concerned. Even her reminding him that she'd be back soon wasn't enough to bring him comfort as he watched her walk away with her backpack and pillow!
She tried to give him pets and love before she left, but Chewy was so mad he wasn't having it. You need to see the look he gave their mom, too. He was seriously questioning her parenting!
Chewy Loves His Family
The good news: Chewy and his sister weren't apart for too long. In another video their mom shared on Instagram, they can be seen going for a late night ice cream run together, so I have a feeling his FOMO episode is all but forgotten. (And yes, they did share with him.)
In general, it seems like Chewy isn't a big fan of his family going somewhere and leaving him behind. In one clip that was shared in September, he rode along to pick the kids up from a trip at the airport, and he was so happy to see them. And from what I can tell, the feeling was definitely mutual.
Maybe it would be better if Chewy's sister hosted the next sleepover. You know, just so he could be a part of it...
