Norwegian Forest Cat Stands Like a Tiny Human and Everyone's Obsessed

She's such a star!

Cats are such funny (and adorable) little creatures, especially when they want to get their human's attention. Despite the fact that many think that all cats are solitary animals, they are willing to do anything when they're after cuddles, pets, or treats, and they always look so cute in the process. Whether they're rolling around on the ground, trying to be adorable enough that we can't resist giving them a snuggle, or meowing as loud as they can, their methods are pretty impossible to resist.

But it's hard to say that any cat's efforts would measure up to what this little lady can do. As we can see in this TikTok video, she's even willing to stand on her hind legs like a human if it means getting her dad to look her way!

Cat mom Brandy Hilden shared this sweet footage on Sunday, April 7, showing what her Norwegian Forest Cat does when she wants to have her dad's attention. Sweet Mei is just standing there on her hind legs like she's a human until he finally decides to come over and give her the pet's she's looking for. She's so patient!

After looking at the other video's on their account, it's clear that this is something this kitty cat does often. Maybe she's part human? Whatever the reason, it's an adorable trick.

In another video, we can see Mei standing and meowing so softly at her dad until he picks her up. She just wants to be held!

Do Norwegian Forest Cats Make Good Pets?

Norwegian Forest Cats aren't just beautiful animals who can sometimes learn cool tricks — though that's totally true. They also make great pets for other reasons, including the sweet personality that is typical of this cat breed.

They're known for being calm and loving cats who are also playful and independent. According to The Spruce Pets, this means that while they may not be a lap cat, they will want to hang out in the same room with you and enjoy your company. They are great cats for families with dogs and/or children, and have a long life span of around 16 years.

One thing you will want to know about these cats is that they do shed, thanks to those long, luxurious coats, and can benefit from a little grooming help from their humans with a regular brushing. They also need to be bathed every few months.

They love playing with toys, and they love climbing, so a cat tree is a must, especially if it happens to be close to a window.

And you never know — maybe your Norwegian Forest Cat will end up standing, too? If Mei can do it, maybe the others can!
