Persian Cat Sees Confetti for the First Time & Her Level of Sheer Annoyance Wins the Internet
Potato the Persian cat recently celebrated her birthday and her mom wanted to make the occasion extra special with a little decorative gesture.
The main issue is poor Potato has the same reaction to confetti (or glitter!) that a lot of us do. "Okay, great, now who will clean this mess up?" Check out this beautiful kitty and how she reacts to being showered with confetti. She's not very into it.
The cute clip was shared by the TikTok account for @Potatothepersiancat and you can hear Potato's mama says "It's your birthday!" before she tosses confetti on her and yeah, let's be honest, Potato ain't having it. I mean, we can't blame her. Confetti is messy, gets in your hair (or fur!) and just requires dragging that noisy vacuum out.
One person commented what they feel she was thinking with, "So she just walked in and threw trash on me, I was like 😟” Another person added, "10/10 for the cutest confusion I’ve ever seen." Someone else summed it up pretty perfectly with, "Poor innocent cutie pie can't comprehend confetti."
If your own cat has a birthday coming up, read on to see how you can commemorate this special occasion.
How To Celebrate Your Cat's Birthday
So if you're a cat parent you probably realize your cat doesn't really care if they have a party. They won't mind if their cat friends don't come over, or if you decorate the house, or invite all your human friends to come over to sing at them.
Cats are pretty chill little creatures, and your cat would probably be thrilled if you tell them Happy Birthday and give them some mushy food or a new catnip mouse or some cat treats. Sure, you can buy them a new cat tree or a ledge so they can look out the window at the birds and they'd probably appreciate that, but to be honest, your cat would probably be just as happy curling up on your lap while you binge watch Netflix.
I think one of the most meaningful gestures you can make to celebrate your cat growing another year older is to make a donation to the shelter you adopted them from, or to sign up to volunteer at that shelter. Your precious fur baby has probably given you a lot of joy since you brought them home and making a donation or volunteering is a pretty wonderful way to pay it forward, and to celebrate your cat's special day.
