Pit Bull Mix Has 'Glow Up' 6 Days After Leaving Shelter After Finally Feeling Loved

Poutine is thriving in her foster home!

Dogs who are looking for a new home are often coming from pretty heartbreaking circumstances. Whether they've lost their owners, have been abandoned, or were born on the streets, it's hard to imagine just how difficult these pups' lives have been, and it makes me even more thankful that, as an animal lover, there are so many good hearted people and organizations out there working to find them their forever homes and improve their lives.

That means that when a shelter dog is finally getting the love and care they deserve, the change in their appearance can be quite staggering — and in cases like the one involving the pup in this TikTok video, they can also happen pretty rapidly!

On Sunday, June 16, Isabel Klee shared footage of her new foster dog, a Pit Bull named Poutine (how cute is that?). Following the popular before-and-after TikTok trend with the text "to be loved... is to be changed," she showed just how much her dog changed just six days after she left the shelter.

Now that Poutine is feeling safe and loved in her new environment, everything about her has changed. Sure, her wounds are healing, but what is most striking to me is her energy. She looks so sad in those first photos, but now, she looks happy and comfortable. It's like she's glowing from the inside out!

Commenters took to the video to gush about this beautiful dog, with multiple people tagging Dave Portnoy, urging him to add Poutine to the family he's built with his own rescue dog, Miss Peaches. To be fair, seeing these two together would make some pretty cute content!

More About Poutine the Pit Bull

Poutine's foster mom, Isabel, is a regular when it comes to fostering dogs, and she decided to grab the dog from the shelter less than a week ago after seeing her profile pop up on the Muddy Paws Rescue portal.

Since then, she's been sharing Poutine's (adorable) journey, from helping her to be comfortable around people again to cleaning her infected ears. In her latest update, Poutine was finally able to show her belly without fear — what a sweet milestone!

So far, Poutine hasn't been listed on the Muddy Paws website just yet, but when she is, I have a feeling she won't last long. Who wouldn't want to bring this beautiful girl into their family?!

It's good to see that she's settling in so well in her foster home. Who knows... maybe Dave is watching and planning to see if she and Miss Peaches get along!
