Pit Bull ‘Thinks Outside the Box’ with New Outdoor Dog Bed and It’s Priceless
There's nothing better than a nice nap on a comfortable new bed—unless you're Olaf, the Pit Bull. The rescue pup didn't love the elevated sleep space Mom got him, so he took matters into his own paws and created his own private cabana.
Thanks to @littlebitofbre, we now know the best use of a raised dog bed (and it's not what you think it would be). Take a look at Olaf's unique problem-solving skills and prepare to be impressed!
"When you get your dog a raised sunbathing bed so he stops getting so dirty," the clip says as the camera pans down to see sweet Olaf's face. He's of course resting under the new bed for shade, nuzzled into the safe confines of his dirt dugout. His critical thinking skills are on point and this is exactly what the bed was meant for, obviously!
"No response is a response," the caption reads.
People flocked to the comments section to concur that Olaf is a true genius.

Considering all this Pittie's been through—three years in many foster homes and three failed adoptions before landing his forever home—we think he can nap wherever and however he wants!
What to Look For In a Dog Bed
Dogs spend a lot of their day sleeping, so where they lay matters. For pups that enjoy a couch or your bed, there are alternatives specifically designed to make your dog comfortable in their own space.
WebMD says to consider a few key points when determining what kind of bed is best for your dog. Do you know where the bed will go? Some dogs will only use the bed if it's in a quiet, dark place, or in your room. They might avoid it otherwise.
Once you decide where you'll put the bed, it's time to figure out what type of bed your dog needs. With so many options like orthopedic, elevated, heated, waterproof, and washable, take into account your pup's size, age, health condition, and general preferences before diving in. It may seem obvious, but know what your dog likes and will likely use before spending the money on, sorry Olaf, a bed that becomes just a shaded tent!
Orthopedic beds are perfect for dogs with mobility or joint issues because the memory foam offers stability. Elevated beds are typically created with more durable materials and are a good option for dogs that are chewers and those with thick coats as the air beneath them provides cooling relief.
Heated beds definitely help keep the chill away on a cold night, and these beds are soothing to pups with circulation issues, arthritis, or other health ailments. Just be sure your pup won't get overheated and won't chew on the cord.
Waterproof and washable beds may be a good choice if your pup isn't potty trained or they're prone to accidents.
