Pomeranian and Orange Cat Sweetly Do 'Gentle Pats' to Show Love for Each Other

There's a reason that the cliché "fighting like cats and dogs" exists — these two species don't always get along, especially if we're talking about cats and dogs who weren't raised together as pets in the same household. I have both dynamics going on in my family; my dog absolutely adores one of my cats, and they're inseparable BFFs. And the other cat? Well, let's just say there's a mutual frenemy type of relationship going on there. 

Some dogs and cats know to be gentle with one another, though. That seems to be what's happening here with this sweet pair of pets, and the love they have for each other is evident in their interactions in this TikTok video. These are the cutest siblings! 

Here, @lilmissmuffett shares a moment where her pup, a Pomeranian dog named Winston, and her orange cat, whose name is Nacho, are being so sweet to each other showing off how good they are at exhibiting "gentle pats." 

It's easy to see how excited Winston is about hanging out with his cat, but he's able to hold back a little so that he doesn't hurt Nacho... who is ready with an outstretched paw to show that the love is most definitely mutual. 

The comments are filled with messages from people gushing over how adorable these two pals are, and responding to one commenter, their mom, Kayla, wrote that they're "best buds." It's easy to see that, even from a short clip like this one! 

Winston and Nacho's Adventures

While this video is their most popular by far (and it's easy to see why), Kayla has been sharing so many more of Winston and Nacho's sweetest moments on TikTok. 

They're not always so gentle with each other, either — these two know how to play! And then, there's the way that Winston reacts when Nacho attempts to go near his food bowl in this video. Much like Joey on Friends, Nacho does not share food. Even after Nacho walked away, Winston was still trying to make his point with those tackles!

And then, there's this little scuffle that they had in front of the fireplace, when Nacho came out of nowhere to start a fight. The Batman filter that's on Nacho's face really does just add so much to the video. The good news: We already know that they understand when it's time to be sweet to each other.

If only my dog could understand what a "gentle pat" is as well as Winston does. Maybe she'd actually get along with our poor tabby cat!
