Prince William's Admission About How He & Kate Middleton Treat Their Dog Has People in Awe

This is so sweet!

The Prince and Princess of Wales are not only parents to three human children, but they also have a precious Cocker Spaniel named Orla. The surprising aspect of this is that they recently admitted to a news outlet that their dog behaves like a lot of us not-royal people's dogs!

Orla has been known to cuddle up with their very famous and important parents during the night!

People Magazine reports, "While meeting a fan’s dog during a visit to Duchy College in Cornwall, England, on Thursday, Oct. 17, William, 42, revealed that his cocker spaniel Orla often sleeps with him and his wife, also 42, in their bed.

The supporter, Louise Harland, who was there with her dog Jacks, told Hits Radio Cornwall, per Hello!: "[William] said that his little dog sleeps on the bed with them at night, with him and Kate."

"[He was] absolutely in love with my little dog. He asked what breed he was and he's never met one of those breeds, he's a Cockerjack, so he's a little bit of a unique combination," Harland continued.

She also said, per the outlet, that William commented on how "soft" her pet's ears are and "gave him lots of loving."

That is so cute. Royal people! They are just like us mere mortals and their dog sometimes hogs their bed space too.

What the Experts Say About Canine Co-Sleeping

What experts say about sleeping with your dog.

Is sleeping with your dog bad for your health?

One of the most wonderful aspects of information like whether or not sleeping with your dog is bad for your health or your dog's health is that so many dog parents couldn't care less and wouldn't trade cuddling up with their fur baby for the world.

A lot of expert advice is mere common sense. If you find yourself waking frequently because your dog is in bed with you, you may want to limit the practice of sharing sleep with them. You want to make sure your pup is clean and free of parasites like ticks or fleas, and that they don't have dirt on their paws or, umm, anything gross anywhere else - if you catch my drift.

It's also a good idea to take your pup out one last time before sleepy time to do their business so they don't wake you at 3 a.m having to go.

According to The Mayo Clinic, sharing a bed with your dog won't disrupt your sleep. Unless your dog is a total snore monster than that's another factor. As long as your dog is clean and free of sickness there's no scientific reason not to share your bed with them. So it all comes down to your own personal preference.

Believe it or not, there are some dog parents out there who would never consider sleeping with their pup and they feel it is unsanitary

I say if it's good enough for royalty, it's good enough for me.
