Pup's Hilarious Routine Before Going on Walk Leaves Dog Sitter in Stitches
If you're the resident dog lover in your group of friends, there's a good chance that you will always be the one asked to pet sit when they go out of town... and that's not a bad thing! It's good to know that the people in your life trust you enough that they'd allow you to care for their most precious pets — and that also means that you get to. have extra time to spend with your four-legged friends, so it's hard to turn an offer like that down. But sometimes, that means learning some quirks about your BFF's dog that you never realized existed in the first place.
Of course, every dog has their own unique personality and way that they like doing things, but some are simply a bit more specific than others, including the dog in this TikTok video.
On Saturday, June 22, @realtorbobk was dog sitting for his friend's dogs, and explained in the video that before his friend headed out, he left him a note to say that one of the dogs, who appears to be an Australian Shepherd, might need a belly rub before she'd agree to go out.
He thought his friend was just joking around, but as it turns out, he was being very serious. The dog laid down on her back and showed her belly, waiting for her pets. Once she got them, she happily headed out to the yard, tail wagging. What a sweet girl!
The way I see it, this is a win/win — she gets to enjoy some extra belly rubs, and goes potty outside, which surely keeps her humans happy. They do have to remember to leave that note, though, or there could be a disaster if a new pet sitter came by and didn't know!
Dogs' Strange Rituals
The comments on the video are totally flooded with people sharing their own dogs' strange habits and rituals, and some of them are pretty hilarious.
One dog mom wrote about her Yorkshire Terrier, "I once left a note saying if you don’t say 'nom nom nom' while’s he’s eating, he won’t eat."
"Me telling my friend 'she gets nervous about the steps sometimes so you need to give her a kiss on the head and then she’ll do it,'" another person commented.
"My dog needs to hear someone sing 'You are my sunshine,' Nat King Cole version," someone else wrote.
This comment might be my favorite, though:"I accidentally trained mine to not get up in the morning unless I rub his belly while saying 'gentlemen, start your engiiiiiiiiines.'"
Hey, as long as it gets the job done!
