Ragdoll Cat Explores Christmas Decoration Aisle and Can’t Contain His Excitement
The holiday season has officially begun! Decorations fill store aisles, people stock up on their baking essentials, and magic fills the air. For those seeing the Christmas spirit for the first time, all the twinkling lights and beautiful sights might be a lot to take in. But an adorable cat named Louis wanted to experience it all, and his joy is really contagious.
On November 19, 2024, Louie the Lilac Ragdoll (@louiethelilacragdoll) shared a video of his pure reaction to seeing the store aisles filled with Christmas lights, and it's 100% the cutest thing. Take a look!
It's not every day that you come across a cat sitting in a shopping cart being wheeled down the aisles of your local Lowes store. But here we are, with a cute Ragdoll cat named Louie, who is having the best time of his life.
The amount of Christmas trees, lights, sparkles, and holiday sounds that have taken over the store would be a lot for even the most festive person, but it seems to be the exact amount of holiday cheer for Louie.
As he and his human continue down each aisle, Louie gives honest feedback on the decor options and hopes they'll be able to pick up a little bit of everything.
In the comments, people shared how much they love seeing Louie soaking in all the Christmas spirit. One person wrote, "I'm so happy to see the boy out and about again," and another shared, "Not me crying at work over Louie being back out in store again."
Someone else added, "Louie climbing up the tree at 3 am means it’s holiday season!!" One wrote, "Louie being excited by all the Christmas decorations makes me so happy."
Important Reminders for Pet Parents This Holiday Season
With so much buzz around this time of year, there are some important safety reminders that pet parents should revisit. According to the ASPCA and the Animal Poison Control Center (APCC), there are some guidelines around food and decorations that are good to refresh.
"Fatty, sweet, and spicy foods, as well as turkey or chicken bones, can all be dangerous to our pets," the ASPCA writes. "While a small piece of boneless turkey is a fine treat, it is always better to be on the safe side and avoid accidentally feeding your pet something that could have a toxic spice or ingredient in it."
Regarding the Christmas tree, they should be "tightly secured so there is no chance it can tip over," and pet parents should consider staying away from tinsel. "Ingested tinsel can cause severe vomiting, obstructed digestive tract, dehydration, and could even require surgery. Stick to lights and ornaments instead!"
Other quick reminders include ensuring any cords are tucked away and keeping dogs and cats safe while guests are going in and out of the house. And have fun!
