Ragdoll Cat Protests to Mom After Being Told They Can’t Go Shopping

He's such a character!

Cats can sometimes have personalities that are more like dogs. Some enjoy meeting new people, and others like riding in the car. However, this kitty’s friendly temperament is in a class of its own.

This gorgeous Ragdoll enjoys it when his mom takes him shopping, and his passion for retail is hard to deny when he’s told they can’t go inside. It’s an outgoing attitude rarely seen in felines.

Check out his adorable protests in this video shared on February 5:

Upon their arrival at Cabela's, Louie's dissatisfaction was evident when his mom said they couldn’t leave the car. She explained she had the store’s hours wrong, arriving only a few minutes before they closed for the night. She tries to explain that she doesn’t want to be a customer waltzing in as they are about to shut their doors, so she promises they will return tomorrow. Unfortunately, all Louie could see was people going in and out of the store, and he wanted to say hello to them. This exceptionally outgoing kitty always enjoys riding in the shopping cart while greeting other customers, and he was looking forward to doing it that evening.

Is This Ragdoll’s Personality Standard for the Breed?

According to Catster, Ragdoll cats are well-known for their friendly dispositions. Their name comes from their tendency to “plop” when picked up. They say many are content in their parent’s arms being pet all day. People also describe this breed’s behavior as "puppy-like" because they follow their humans around the house. They are also very loving and intelligent. They advise, “Be prepared for their extremely high attention needs before adopting one.” Early socialization can also help these cats to be more outgoing with people and other animals.

People expressed their feeling on arriving just before the store closed. Viewer @Helenpoplin responded, “As someone who works in retail, if someone walked in with a cat who had been crying and wanted to meet new people, we probably wouldn’t care what time it was. It would make our day.” It’s not so bad to have a last-minute customer when there’s an adorable cat with them. Viewer @Margaret confirmed, “If someone came into my job 10 min before closing with a cat, all would be forgiven, to be honest.” It certainly wouldn’t upset me to see this handsome fellow wanting to get a little attention.

If having a dog isn’t an option, this beautiful cat might be the perfect companion, especially if you want someone to tag along with you when shopping.
