Robert Irwin Brought the Cutest Baby Deer to The Tonight Show

Andrew Lipovsky/NBC

Robert Irwin is a Tonight Show regular at this point, and it’s easy to see why. The 14-year-old son of the late Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, has an infectious enthusiasm and an incredible passion for animals, and he always brings some fascinating creatures to show Jimmy Fallon and the Tonight Show audience.

He tends to bring a mix of cute and not-so-cute animals (though of course, cuteness is in the eye of the beholder). Last night was no exception: he started off with an adorable beaver who loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and then he brought out what he called a cute and “fluffy” tarantula named Webster.

But the baby deer he brought out next probably won the cuteness prize. It’s a muntjac deer, one of the smallest species of the world, and apparently it squeaks when it’s happy.
