Samoyed’s Enthusiastic Welcome with Enormous Christmas Pickle Overflows with Cuteness

She's so proud of her gift!

When you have dogs, they are the highlight of coming home. Their joyful greetings are filled with genuine happiness, capable of changing the mood of any day. These warm welcomes are often accompanied by the special gifts they bring us at the door.

Some pups even change these cherished items with the seasons. For instance, one Samoyed chose a giant Christmas pickle that was bigger than her. However, this challenge didn’t dampen her spirit, and her efforts will undoubtedly lift yours.

Watch her happy hello in this video from November 26:

There’s nothing more pure than a gift from your dog. This adorable Samoyed chose a giant Christmas pickle to welcome her family home. Although the enormous stuffed toy likely outweighed Nube (@nubethesamoyed), she didn’t let that stop her. In fact, from the way her fluffy tail wagged, it seemed she was proud of herself for overcoming the challenge and presenting her family with such a wonderful present. Her smile alone is the perfect gift! I had a Rottweiler who would gleefully bring me the remote control whenever I came through the door. Although it became pretty worn, it remains one of the most cherished presents I have ever received. Whatever our dogs choose to bestow upon us is always given with love.

Why Do Dogs Greet Us With Gifts?

When dogs bring gifts to their humans upon returning home, it is believed that this behavior is a combination of their instincts and their desire for social interaction. This habit can be traced back to their ancestral roots, where sharing prey with the pack promoted unity and security. Now, dogs might bring toys, socks, or even random household items to initiate play, gain attention, or express affection. This act of gift-giving also serves as a bonding ritual, reinforcing the emotional connection between dog and parent. As Wisconsin Pet Care points out, it’s likely dogs bring gifts simply because they see it makes us happy. Essentially, they see us as part of their pack, and bringing us gifts is their way of showing love, loyalty, and eagerness to express how happy they are to see us again.

People were impressed by Nube’s determination. Viewer @paradisewithleilani responded, “The tail wag, showing just how much love and happiness she’s trying to bring you.” That’s for sure. Viewer @jinju_the_samoyed remarked, “Lol, she was really motivated by the offering! Such a good girl.” She sure is!

While we may not understand why dogs choose to bring us the gifts they do, one thing is clear: it’s done to show us their affection. It’s just one of the many ways they teach us about unconditional love.
