Sarah Jessica Parker Adopts Cat From Her Show and His Name Is Perfect

The universe's Cat Distribution System strikes at the strangest times, right? When we think about kitties that are on TV shows, it's easy to figure that they all already have homes when the cameras are off.

That's not always the case, which is why celebrities like Sarah Jessica Parker end up coming home from their time on-set with the best memento of all:

Lotus and Sarah Jessica Parker met on the set of her latest show, And Just Like That... In the show, her character has a friend who brings a cat over to her apartment. On-screen, his name is Shoe, but that's not quite glamorous enough for a celebrity kitty-cat, is it?

Even though her character is supposed to be kind of apprehensive toward adopting the cat, Sarah Jessica Parker wasted no time in doing so. "Shoe" was first seen in this year's season of the Sex and the City spinoff, and now he's been taken in by his fictional owner for real! There's good news for And Just Like That... fans and Shoe fans alike: this probably means that his furry character won't be going anywhere. 

This happens to celebrities sometimes: a few years ago, Taylor Swift was playing with cats in an interview and ended up going home with one that she named Benjamin Button. It just goes to show that even the most seasoned professionals sometimes can't resist adorable furry faces. They're only human, after all!
