Precious Shih-Tzu's Hilarious Way of Watching Family Eat Dinner Is Too Cute To Handle

He's not breaking the rules.

There are two types of dog parents. The ones who feed their pets from the table, and the ones who strictly enforce the rules. And the dogs who are trained to behave often seem to put on quite a show about it.

Technically, he’s not begging. Watch and see this hilarious pup keep his eye on the prize.

This tiny boy is just too funny. In a video posted on August 24th, TikTok user @snowie0328 shows us what her dog Snowie does when it’s dinnertime. Since he’s not allowed to stare or beg while the family eats dinner, he’s just outside the room. He’s only allowing half his head and only one eye to be seen, to ensure he isn't scolded for staring. This half-headed appearance has a completely fixated gaze, hoping his parents will permit him a little taste. What a character he is!

It's hard to tell our furry friends, no, but it’s often in their best interest. After COVID-19 and being home with our beloved dog for months, we broke our rules and allowed her to sit at the table. It's gone on for far too long to retract, but we respect those who can stop it from happening in their home.

The audience could relate to this dinner-time show. Viewer @EeeMiguel responded, “My Daisy does bombastic side-eye. The moment you glance at her, she looks away. Hilariously awkward for us both.” That’s too cute! Viewer @RosieKing said, “I totally relate. A dog used to begging usually will take food from anyone or anything. And not all people are well-intentioned.” That’s an excellent point. Even if someone is well-intentioned, they could accidentally give a dog something they shouldn’t eat. Viewer @Lynette commented, “Awww, Snowie wants to be included, eat together. Sharing is caring.” Snowie’s parents replied, “We include him in everything, but the one thing we don’t like him doing is begging.” That’s fair.

We know this beautiful dog gets everything else he could ask for. With mealtime, he'll just have to accept that his theatrics help to keep the family entertained.
